It does not matter if you are a cricket enthusiast or not because if you are living in India, then you're probably reading about Virat Kohli almost every day. The Indian Premier League recently kicked off and the Royal Challengers Bangalore's skipper aka Virat is on a roll. But TBH, anything that our national cricket team captain does create a buzz among his fans. From hyping up his wife, Anushka Sharma to lift him off the ground to carrying his li'l one, Vamika's cradle like a doting father at the airport, Virat's candid moments have our hearts.
We already know that INC captain is an adorable hubby and dad. And, his recent interview about raising a child with Anushka is so heartwarming that we can't even! While talking to host Danish Sait, Virat said that his life has changed drastically since he became a father.
He said, "Things change quite drastically. Everything you have been used to changes. You have to be totally aligned with taking care of another life that’s totally dependent on the mother primarily, but also dependent on the father. Both parents taking care of the child is a different environment altogether and something that we both (Anushka and him) have enjoyed thoroughly."
Virat and Anushka welcomed their baby girl on January 11. While talking about his connection with his li'l one, he said, "It’s been life-changing. It has been a connection which has been different from anything that both of us have experienced before. Just to see your child smile, it can’t be put into words. I can’t express how it feels from within. It’s just been such a blessed and amazing period."
On International Women's Day, Virat penned down a heart-touching note for Vamika and called Anushka 'the most fiercely compassionate and strong woman' of his life. He wrote, "Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It's because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women's Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who's going to grow up to be like her mother ❤️.
From asking preggers Anushka if she had eaten from the field to falling short of words while expressing his journey as a dad, Virat has defs come a long way. And honestly, he's set the bar of expectations quite high for my future husband!
